On April 12, 2023, a networking event between ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ Alumni Association Indonesia (ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I) and ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ Indonesian students was held at the Higashi-ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ Campus. ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-Indonesia was established in March 2022 and recognized as a legal entity by the Indonesian government in January 2023, and is a nationwide alumni association that aims to operate on its own membership system from corporate and individual members. Currently, ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I is expanding its network with industry, academia, government and alumni in both countries through projects such as seminars given by alumni active in the Indonesian Government, and is considering new development opportunities.

As part of such activities, ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I decided to hold a networking event with ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥¡¯s Indonesian students in conjunction with a visit to ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ by Dr. Sumarsono, General Secretary General of ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I (graduate of the Graduate School of Engineering), to exchange views with companies and organizations in ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ Prefecture.

At the beginning of the meeting, Shinji Kaneko, Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) addressed the audience. "ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I has the second largest number of students from Indonesia, and the number of alumni exceeds approximately 800. ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ will do its utmost to support ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I as it continues to take on the challenge of becoming an unprecedented alumni organization. I hope that you will join us in enlivening the activities of ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I," he stated, conveying a strong message to the approximately 30 Indonesian students who gathered for the event.

Dr. Sumarsono, who is active as a young entrepreneur in both Japan and Indonesia, then introduced the activities of ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I and the newly added student membership program. He also conveyed the message ¡®Many of your seniors are active on the front lines of Indonesian government and business community. Alumni and current students should join hands together and aim for a better society through the activities of ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥AA-I", to which the students applauded.

During the networking session following the discussion with the students, Halal food was served, and the efforts of the PPI-ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ (Indonesian student association in ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥) to support Indonesian high school students were introduced. Overall, it was a very valuable session.
