On March 26th, 2024, Chairperson Ou Yuan Yun of the ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ (ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥) Taiwan Alumni Association visited ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ and engaged in a meeting with Executive Vice President for Global Initiatives Shinji Kaneko. During the visit, they exchanged opinions on past activities of the Taiwan Alumni Association as well as the revitalization of alumni association activities in the future.

The ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ Taiwan Alumni Association was established in February 2009 as an alumni association for former international students who studied or worked at ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ and are currently active in Taiwan. Since then, it has developed as an association of people who support ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ as well as an association for exchange among members, with alumni meetings being regularly held. A delegation from ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ led by President Mitsuo Ochi attended the latest Taiwan Alumni Association Meeting, held in Taipei in January 2024. During the meeting, alumni from diverse backgrounds, working in government, academia, and the private sector, shared memories of their study-abroad days and stories about their recent activities, creating a heartwarming moment for the participants.

ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ has concluded 15 inter-university international exchange agreements with 13 institutions and 30 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 26 institutions in Taiwan. Currently, there are 33 international students from Taiwan studying at ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥. This visit is expected to further revitalize the activities of the alumni association in Taiwan.
